Exploring with a Microscope Lab Investigation
Grades 5th Grade - 6th Grade Content Standard C, 5-8
Invite students to explore the micro world of plants, animals and microbes using microscope slides that they safely prepare themselves using the included hand-held microtome, specimens and reagents. They will also construct their own water drop microscope to view a variety of microlife forms that come to life from a special dry pond mix, and theyÕll also learn about new and exciting microscope-imaging techniques such as dark field illumination and polarizing light.
