Everyday Outside Challenge

FOSS Staff

As educators, we can encourage our students to do things that are good for their mental health that sometimes parents struggle to get their kids to do. Below is the link to an optional Everyday Outside Challenge. If your community is not being told to stay inside, consider sending this home to your students and their families—make it optional, but consider doing some fun class celebrations of these achievements. On that note, the FOSS staff is taking this challenge too, and we recommend that teachers do this as well, perhaps with your families, to take care of your own mental health.

Time spent outdoors can reduce stress and depression for children and adults. If your region is still allowing outdoor social-distancing, encourage your students and their families to participate in this outdoor adventure as a family unit.
