K-8 Hands-On STEM Curriculum for Mississippi

Delta Education supports K-8 STEM education by combining the very best of two programs to meet 100% of the Mississippi College and Career Readiness Standards for Science (MCCRSS).

• FOSS Next Generation is a K-8 research-based active learning science curriculum developed at the Lawrence Hall of Science, University of California at Berkeley. FOSS has been used in more than 20,000 American schools for 25 years and the Next Generation edition is the newest, most in-depth edition.
• Mississippi Science is a customized collection of K-5 classroom tested hands-on activities and readers from the Delta Science Modules program that support Mississippi–specific standards.

Program materials are designed to meet the challenge of providing meaningful science education for all students in diverse Mississippi classrooms and to prepare them for 21st century citizenship and STEM careers.
